Admissions Information
Admissions Requirements: Nursing Program
The Nursing Program has additional admissions requirements. Students are selected for admission to the
Nursing Program based on the following criteria:
- Submission of a completed application
- Completion of all preparatory classes with a grade of "C" or higher.
- A minimum grade of "C" in all general education courses taken prior to admission
- Submission of completed health information form and evidence of personal health insurance
- Evidence of the following immunizations: Tetanus/Diphtheria, MMR or Titer, Hepatitis B, Chickenpox,
negative TB skin test (if not negative must have negative CXR)
- Evidence of CPR certification
- Acceptable criminal background check
- Negative chemical/drug screening
- Evidence of current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Official transcript showing all previous higher education courses
- Evidence of payment of nonrefundable application fee

Students are expected to have basic computer skills.
Pre-Nursing Information
The best way to obtain information about the Nursing Program is to attend an information
meeting. Information meetings are held every Wednesday (except holidays) at 4:00 p.m. at
Provo College Campus. Please contact the
Nursing Admissions office regarding the date you plan to attend.
English as a Second Language and International Students
English as a second language and international students applying to the Provo College Nursing Program must complete the following requirements:
- English as a second language speakers, including United States citizens and permanent residents, are required to submit a copy of official scores of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-based test (iBT). Students must receive a score of 83 or higher on the TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) to be considered for admission to the Provo College Nursing Program. TOEFL scores are valid for up to two years. You must submit a copy of your official TOEFL iBT score before or on the application deadline. For information regarding testing centers and registration, visit the TOEFL website: www.toefl.org.
